DAY 2:

Well...not as easy as I had hoped. The folks over at AIT have been helpful though. I'm in the process of setting up my online shopping cart; having problems scanning my pictures though. Once they're scanned, its a hop skip and a jump to get them on the Internet and displayed in my cart!

This will definiately take some time. I wonder if Bill Gates ever had it this bad?

Ok, so I've done it. I've quit my job and branched out on my own. After a long and arduous search, I've decided upon the Web Hosting company: Advanced Internet Technologies or ait.com to host my business - I hope they can deliever on their promises!

I figure I have about 6 months of saved income along with additional financing that will get me through the first few tough months. If I can't start make'n money by month 4, I'll need to re-evaluate my position.

I was just tired of working for somebody else, you know? I guess if your going to work day in and day out, you ought to just do it for yourself; thats what the fella at AIT said too! He was like look, you've got all this creditial within your community which means you have a base from which to grow. And he's right! I have at least 5 members of my church talking to me about setting up their office network, and also hosting their websites...that should get me going. I'm also meeting with the Mayor (who also happens to be a member of my church) as he has some ideas regarding an employment search portal within our communicty...sounds like a big project.

Maybe all it takes is some the will to say, "To hell with it! I'm going for it!" I hope I still have this attitude tomorrow...I'll be talking with the Bank about a Merchant Account and online Gateway so that I can process orders online...that should be interesting...
